Mazda Motor Corporation has partially restyled its popular Roadster offering interior and exterior enhancements, additional equipment and three new body colors. The upgraded models go on sale today at Mazda and Mazda Anfini dealers across Japan.

With its fun to drive, exhilarating open top design and distinctive style, the Roadster truly embodies Mazda's brand personality and continues to enjoy great popularity.

Total production volume of the Roadster has reached more than 680,000 units* since its introduction in 1989 and it is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's top-selling lightweight open top two-seater roadster.

Major Enhancements

Interior and exterior refinements
- All grades employ aluminum finish parts throughout the cockpit for a sporty and elegant look. These include an aluminum finish center panel, shift plate bezel, air vent bezels, inner door handles, parking brake button and instrument rings.
- Two 2-inch twiddlers (mid-high frequency speakers) built into the aero board
- High quality leather seats with piping replace black fabric seats
- Sporty, newly designed 16-inch aluminum wheels

New optional BOSE sound system
- BOSE sound system acoustically tailored for the Roadster has been further upgraded to 225 watt high output, 6-speaker system. (Current BOSE sound system is 200W with 4 speakers).

Three new body colors
- Color range now includes Titanium Grey Metallic II, Radiant Ebony Mica and Strato Blue Mica.

Additional equipment
- Standard equipment includes a water repellant windscreen and door mirrors for M grade models. RS models come with an aero board with multi-mesh box and two speakers, and a leather parking brake lever.
- Power door lock, keyless entry with trunk opener, aero board and BOSE sound system with AM/FM electric tuner and CD player are available as factory-installed options for the NR-A.
- All grades have a passenger side sun visor with vanity mirror.
