Nissan Dualis, the new mid-sized crossover, is off to a strong start with more than 5,000 units ordered within its first week of introduction. Customers’ response to the Dualis, which went on sale across Japan from May 23, has outperformed expectations with the initial sales more than double the targeted 2,000 units per month.

Dualis is a unique crossover vehicle that combines the sportiness of a hatchback with the spaciousness of an SUV. The crossover appeals to customers with its stylish exterior design and agile driving experience. Dualis is positioned as a “sophisticated crossover that stands out in an urban landscape”, which is well-suited for the Japanese market. The current take rate of the 2WD is at 53%, higher than the 4WD at 47%. The higher series, 20G and 20G FOUR, equipped with standard “stylish glass roof” accounts for more than 70% of the total orders. The bestselling colors are “diamond silver” followed by “meto black”.
