This record-setting performance was due to sharp increases in sports car line sales. The Boxster/Cayman series sales of 870 units was 60 percent ahead of the same period last year, while the 911 series total of 902 units was 31 percent greater than the February 2005 total. Sales of the Cayenne totaled 917 units. "To have such a strong sales performance in our sports car model lines is very impressive," said Peter Schwarzenbauer, PCNA President and CEO. "It is also remarkable given the difficult economical environment as well as the harsh weather that hit our major Northeast markets last month." In addition, dealers sold 482 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, compared to 352 for the same period last year.
