This Used OLDSMOBILE TORONADO GT car for sale For sale is the last in my collection – a very rare, highly optioned, 33,500 mile all-original 1970 Toronado GT (W-34 high performance package), VIN 396870M618622. These are quite special cars, with beautiful build quality and bulletproof reliability, thanks to the dedicated, much slower GM production line. Fitted with factory A/C (needs re-charging), front ventilated disc brakes, tilt wheel, power seat, power windows, AM/FM radio, heated rear window and cruise control (not working at present). This car has been stored indoors all it's life, and is in exceptional unmolested original condition. Painted in Regency Rose metallic with a black vinyl roof, with a black interior that is all original and in presents as new. Driving the front wheels, the 455 ci engine is original and #'s matching, tuned to 400 hp at the factory, and runs superbly. Drives like a modern car, with awesome acceleration, amazing handling for a ‘70’s US luxury coupe and huge brakes. The exterior paint is all original and in good condition, with 2 small hail dents in the hood of about ½ in diameter and a few nicks and scratches from 36 years of usage. There are 3 very small 3 cm long rust spots along the rear wheel arches. These rust spots have not been repaired or repainted in an effort to preserve the remarkably original condition of the car (see pictures). The tyres are new white walled radials, with recent maintenance including new belts, full service, carb adjustment, new fuel pump, fresh coolant and new radiator cap. Original documentation includes the original window sticker, owner’s manual, warranty booklet and a mint 1970 Toronado brochure. The custom plates do not go with the car, however can be purchased separately if the new buyer so wishes. Remember, this is an original car that’s 36 years old now, but it is way above excellent original condition... a car is only factory original once in it's life.
