This Used VOLKSWAGEN KOMBI car for sale Hello all, Reluctantly, I am offering for sale my 1975 bay window unfinished project (2352051969), please see enclosed pics, sorry about the quality. It began as a genuine 1 owner, 90,000km van (original paperwork available, $4620 brand new!) which drove very well and only had superficial rust (all repaired professionally). According to the original owner, he took it on a trip a couple of times a year, and it sat idle for the rest. Being a former VW mechanic and kombi fanatic, I began the project as one to meticulously restore for myself and drive on Sundays. However, since the project began, my commitments and priorities have changed and I find myself wondering whether I should part with it. Basically, it is currently a rolling shell which has been professionally resprayed, inside, outside and engine bay, in a brilliant snow white two pack paint, with clear over the top. The 5 original rims, which were bead blasted prior to painting, have been sprayed in a two-pack silver with clear over the top. The bullbar and bumpers are yet to be painted, but the bullbar is excellent and the bumperbars are very good. All photos before, after and during the painting process are available. Underneath, and inside the wheel arches, it has been covered in a high quality body deadener/protector. All of the rear quarter vent windows have been replaced with one-piece solid glass, and all of the windows have been professionally tinted dark black. It is supplied with absolutely everything that came off it, almost everything that came off another ’75 model I dismantled and nearly all brand new parts to reassemble it/ or for spares (bearings, tierod ends, balljoints, brakes, brake hoses, cables, bushes, coupling, seals, rubbers, boots, window lift channels, chrome window surrounds, mirrors, lenses, etc, etc, etc/ receipts, paperwork available), as well as an excellent soft grip steering wheel off a ’79 model. It is also supplied with three gearboxes, a very low km 1775cc professionally built, fully balanced, performance engine (paperwork available/can hear running), as well as a low km short, reconditioned, 1600 motor as a spare (will not separate). The 1775cc motor (V965365P), which has only done 12,000 km in a Beetle, has been balanced right down to the generator pulley. It consists of the following: New three point mount crankcase, balanced crankshaft (1st oversize), balanced/resized conrods, new mild camshaft, new camshaft gear, new cam followers, new oil pump/oil pump cover, new pushrod tubes, new 90.5mm Mahle forged piston/cylinder kit, new twinport heads which have had hardened, oversize valves/valve seats fitted and some mild porting, a professionally reconditioned, mildly rejetted Holley Bugspray carb, new fuel pump, new 009 distributor with a new coil and leads, new clutch, heavy duty pressure plate, thrust bearing, flywheel gland nut and refaced/ rebalanced flywheel, Kadron extractors and a reconditioned generator. All engine tinware has been powdercoated and it is supplied with a near new VDO temp. guage and sensor. For somebody looking for their dream van, this is well worth a look. Basically, it now just requires reassembly. I think I,ve mentioned everything but any further info is available on request. My asking price for the lot is $9500 o.n.o ( I know this probably sounds expensive, it all owes me more than this and has taken some time to get together, will not separate!). p.s. I also have a very good 1976 2l fuel injected auto Sopru campervan (2362131293) which I will be offering for sale as a going concern in the next few months (please see attached pics). I bought it from an old guy (2nd owner, some paperwork available) with a blown auto and, along with some other stuff, fitted a low mileage, reconditioned auto to it. Halfway through this, I got sidetracked and have not yet had a chance to return too it. As a going concern, I will be looking for somewhere in the region of $6500 o.n.o. However, I may be able to be persuaded to sell it as part of a package deal with the Kombi, if anybody is interested? Further details later, or on request. These vehicles are located in Geelong, Victoria. Thanks for looking JAC
