Aug 3, 2006 -- Audi has captured first place in the “Service” category of the 2006 “Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) StudySM” in China. This study, which is conducted annually, has now been published by J.D. Power Asia Pacific. By taking 834 of a possible 1,000 points, Audi shot to the top of the rankings, recording a new record points total in the process. Furthermore, Audi is the only company which has featured in the top three in each of the last five years.
Audi was able to further improve its service through the exclusive dealer network in China, with more than 120 dealerships in 86 towns and cities, enabling it to reindorse the results of the study of the last few years.

AUDI AG increased its vehicle sales in the first half of 2006 to 38,838 units, a rise of approximately 94%, in the important Chinese market. The locally produced Audi A6, modified for the Chinese market, played a particularly significant part in this feat; with 27,891 units sold (up 106.6 percent), it is the most successful premium model in China.

The new Audi Q7, featuring a 4.2-litre V8 engine (257 kW / 350 bhp), was successfully launched on the Chinese market in July. The annual production volume for 2006 has already sold out in the short time following the launch.
