Audi of America Continues Its Sales Gains in April

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., May 2 /PRNewswire/ -- After a successful first quarter, Audi of America, Inc. continues its sales gains with a 2.9% increase for April 2006. Marking the second best April sales month in its history and the best since 2000, Audi sold a total of 7,412 vehicles. Vehicle sales in April 2005 totaled 7,202. Leading the sales gain for the month was the A4 with a total of 3,623, a 25.0% increase over last year. The A3 continues its strong momentum in the market with total sales of 746.
"Our core model lines -- A3, A4, and A6 -- continue to drive sales upwards," said Johan de Nysschen, Executive Vice President of Audi of America. "With the advent of the 'Year of Performance' beginning in June with the all- new Audi Q7 performance SUV, followed by the RS 4 sport sedan, A4 and S4 Cabriolets, and our luxury sport sedans S6 and S8, we're just at the beginning of a great year for Audi of America."
