Citroën is kicking off Christmas in style at its Champs-Élysées showcase, the C_42, with a new seasonal exhibition and an exciting competition giving visitors a once-in-a-lifetime chance to go head-to-head in a race against Citroën’s five-time, World Rally Champion, Sébastien Loeb, in the stunning GTbyCITROËN – the real world concept car designed for PlayStation’s virtual racing game Gran Turismo.

From the 12th to the 18th December, visitors to C_42 are able to set a qualifying time driving GTbyCITROËN on a special Gran Turismo simulator. The 20 fastest entrants will be invited back to C_42 on the 20th December to battle it out for a place in the grand final. In a thrilling competition climax, four finalists will take on Citroën’s WRC team, Sébastien Loeb, Daniel Elena, Dani Sordo and Marc Marti, to crown the fastest gamer.

This new exhibition presents the sporty, stylish and dynamic qualities of the marque. Taking centre stage on the C_42’s amazing revolving rotunda is the real life version of the jaw-dropping race-car concept; GTbyCITROËN. Joining the virtual supercar is Citroën’s first ever ‘Grand Tourer’ – the SM, along with the environmentally-conscious performance car concept, C-Métisse and the road going sporty new C4 VTS.

During the festive season, a specially designed giant silver “Christmas tree” towering 20 metres high will stand behind the C_42’s magnificent glass and steel façade. The work of renowned French architect, Manuelle Gautrand, C_42 was the first new building on the world famous boulevard for more than 30 years on a site that has been owned by Citroën since 1927.
