Dodge Teams up with Texas to "Mega" Live and "Mega" Give

Larger-Than-Life Contests Benefiting Hurricane Relief Efforts Begin at the State Fair of Texas This Week

Dallas, TX, Sep 27, 2005 - What would you do with a teasing comb and a can of firm-hold hairspray? Do you have a 20-gallon hat you’ve been dying to showcase? These are two of the questions the Dodge brand is challenging Texans with to raise funds for American Red Cross local hurricane relief. Starting this Friday, Sept. 30, state fair attendees in Dallas are invited to express their larger-than-life style as part of the Dodge Mega Livin', Mega Givin' program, a series of six contests celebrating Texans and their "mega" talents.
For the first 100 participants in each of the six Dodge Mega Livin’, Mega Givin’ contests, Chrysler Group will donate $25, up to $15,000 total, to the American Red Cross to benefit hurricane relief efforts.

The contests kick-off the Dodge brand’s Mega Livin’, Mega Givin' celebration at the Dodge Truck display, which introduces Texans to the new 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab™. Sporting the largest pickup cab ever, Dodge Ram Mega Cab will be displayed with other super-sized “mega wonders” such as the largest pair of authentic cowboy boots and a super-sized HEMI-powered tricycle. The week’s activities culminate with a free benefit concert Friday, Oct. 7 at the Smirnoff Music Center.

“The State Fair of Texas is a natural fit for the Dodge brand’s ‘larger than life’ celebration -- recognizing Texans’ zest for living life to its fullest and their generosity and eagerness to help others in need,” said Fred Diaz, Director – Dodge Communications, Chrysler Group. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to expose Texans to the new Dodge Ram Mega Cab, a truck fit for people who want to get the most from life.”

Texans with “mega” talents can enter the six fun contests that will recognize fair attendees who “live large” every day. The contests, to be held at noon and 3:00 p.m. Sept. 30 – Oct. 2, include:

• Mega Buckle (biggest belt buckle) - Friday, Sept. 30 at Noon
• Mega Height (tallest woman/man contest) - Friday, Sept. 30 at 3:00 p.m.
• Mega Hair (biggest hair contest) - Saturday, Oct. 1 at Noon
• Mega Foot (largest boot size/foot) - Saturday, Oct. 1 at 3:00 p.m.
• Mega Mouth (longest whistle) - Sunday, Oct. 2 at Noon
• Mega Lid (biggest hat/head) - Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3:00 p.m.

State Fair attendees interested in participating are asked to visit the Dodge Mega Livin’, Mega Givin’ exhibit located at the Dodge Truck Display in the Truck Zone Plaza to fill out an entry form and review contest rules. A panel of judges will select a winner in each category based on the contest rules. Six winners will be named in honor of the all-new 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab, the only pickup truck with a cab large enough to comfortably seat six adults. Winners will walk away with a mega title as well as a Mega Livin’ Gift Package that includes a choice of a getaway to an exclusive hotel or a Mega Livin’ sports experience.

Other Mega Livin’ Events
The Dodge Mega Livin’, Mega Givin’ celebration will continue after the contests as follows:

Friday, Oct. 7: Dodge will host a free Mega Livin’, Mega Givin’ Benefit Concert at Smirnoff Music Center featuring Terri Clark and Charlie Robinson. Donations will be collected on site to aid hurricane relief efforts and one lucky person will win an all-new 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab pickup truck. Concert tickets are available at all metro Dallas Dodge dealerships.

Saturday, Oct. 8: To celebrate the debut of the all-new 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab, there will be a parade after the Texas vs. Okalahoma football game in which Dodge Ram Mega Cabs will caravan away from the Cotton Bowl and take up residence at Dodge dealerships in the all metro Dallas area.

Additionally, the super-sized “mega wonders” will remain at the Dodge Truck Display through Oct. 23.
