2008 Hummer H3 Customization Appeal Review

October 2008

Gone are the days, when car customisation was limited to men. With the personalization trend growing in almost all markets, it is no more a ‘men’s only game’. HUMMER H3 with its new campaign has provided the opportunity to the fairer sex to come forward and get their H3 painted in the colours that would make all heads turn for a second look.

With an option of 10 spectacular custom paint colours, women now have the power to reflect their attitude with their choice of colours. Be it the ‘Tough Cookie Lilac’ or a ‘Side Kick Pink’, they are opting for shades which not only makes HUMMER H3 look distinctive but also an object of envy for others on the road. Considering that the ‘J’ factor is usually high among women, this campaign is surely going to give women a proud feeling of owning a vehicle in a colour which will immediately get the attention of onlookers.

What’s more, besides the exterior, one can also customize the interior with matching colour coded seat buckets and centre console.

According to Jane McMorrow, a housewife, her new Lilac H3 is not just a vehicle anymore but her most adorable possession that gives her an upper edge over others while she is on the road. It is more of dream-come- true. . “When I first chose to change my car, I told my husband that I wanted a pink HUMMER. Two weeks later, I was the owner of this beautiful Lilac model and now I can’t stop flaunting it”, says an excited Jane.

So does the colourful creativity of the beautiful mind end here? The answer is a big NO. HUMMER also provides the women with the option of mixing different available shades to come up with a totally fresh and original shade.

“HUMMER H3 ‘Paint me with your dream colour’ campaign gives the power to our female customers who want their vehicle to be different from others. We are delighted to provide them with a car that not just meet their needs but also fulfills their desire to be different”, comments Johnny Amiouni, Marketing Manager for HUMMER at General Motors Middle East.

So, next time you spot a woman driving an H3 painted in a unique ‘never seen before’ colour, don’t be surprised, just head straight to the Liberty Showroom to get ‘your’ favourite colour.
