Infiniti’s first official exhibition at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show here showcases the brand’s inspired performance with custom versions of the Infiniti G sports coupe and sedan, M luxury performance sedan, EX personal luxury crossover and QX full-size luxury SUV, all built by aftermarket vehicle suppliers and customizers.

The five specially modified Infiniti vehicles will be on display from Tuesday, November 4 through Friday, November 7 within Infiniti’s display located on the upper level of the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall (booth #34768).

“Infiniti is proud to be at the SEMA Show for the first time, displaying customized versions of our model line,” said Ben Poore, vice president of marketing for Infiniti. “Infiniti automobiles are designed to inspire their owners, and the vehicles we’re showing at SEMA have been taken to an even higher level of performance and luxury.”

Following is a partial list and information of the Infiniti vehicles on display at the 2008 SEMA Show:

2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan by Automotive Design Concepts
With its European-inspired performance, aggressive exterior and suede-lined interior, this Infiniti G Sedan is equally as ready for the Autobahn as it is as a night on the Vegas strip.

First, the G37 was widened two inches at all four corners by Auto Explosion – without the use of a body kit. Its flared wheel wells were then filled with 20-inch Lexani LSS10 wheels fitted to Toyo Proxes 4 tires using Motorsports Technology hub-centric spacers, Stillen Sport cross-drilled rotors and Metal Matrix brake pads.

To complement the wide look, Lexani bumper covers were added front and rear, and door handles from the Infiniti M were also installed. Then, the G Sedan was painted Sunset Red, an eye-catching selection from PPG Industries’ Vibrance Collection Radiance II.

A K&N Filter – with a new dual cool-air intake system – adds eight horsepower to the G Sedan’s 3.7-liter V6 engine, taking its total to 336, and Magnaflow Performance added a 2.5-inch dual stainless cat-back system finished with 4-inch double-walled exhaust tips.

Inside, the craftsmanship and advanced technology of the G Sedan is enhanced with a suede headliner and seat inserts, and Advent HR7008 7-inch touch monitors with integrated top-load DVD players and game controllers were installed on the backs of the front headrests. Polk Audio supplied its Mobile Monitor Series amplifier and speakers, with Tsunami providing the audio install kit and accessories. Powering all of this equipment is Kinetik Audio’s power cell.

2009 Infiniti G37 Coupe by Stillen
The Infiniti G Coupe is already one of the most powerful and beautiful sports coupes on the road today. Stillen’s goal was to enhance the G’s classic look and increase its performance, but without disturbing its stylish original design or creating a harsh ride typical of such modifications.

The Stillen team started with body components developed specifically for the G Coupe, including front lip and rear deck spoilers, a roof wing, and a unique front grille. Alchemy Auto Painting provided a custom two-tone color scheme – using BASF R-M Carizzma Charcoal and Cayenne Red Pearl – to highlight the Infiniti’s subtle body lines.

Performance is increased with Stillen’s Generation 3 Ultra Long Tube Intake Kit, a stainless steel cat-back exhaust with high flow catalytic converters and coated headers, and grounding kit. Stillen front and rear adjustable sway bars and rear camber and toe arms were also installed; combined with Eibach Pro-Kit performance lowering springs, Marcell MT-05 20-inch wheels, and Toyo Tires’ Proxes T1R high performance tires, this G Coupe is sure to be a real handler.

Keeping the theme of enhancing but not tampering with Infiniti’s original design, the Stillen G Coupe retains most of its stock, leather- and aluminum-trimmed interior. Gold Star Audio installed Rockford Fosgate Punch Series component speakers, and amplifiers, and they also created a custom trunk subwoofer enclosure.

2009 Infiniti M by ShowOpt
The Infiniti M luxury performance sedan already offers a considerable amount of style, but ShowOpt added a “VIP” look and made it a show-stopper. Starting with Junction Produce fog lights, front and rear air dams, side rocker panels and a roof wing, and covering it all in a signature paint combination by Maziora, ShowOpt’s creation is undoubtedly an Infiniti M, but the look is like no other.

The M rolls on Volk Racing 20-inch Forged Progressive TS wheels mounted to Falken FK452 tires, and Air Runner provided a full air suspension kit. Under the hood is a Custom GReddy VQ Turbo Kit, Oil and Radiator Caps, and at the rear is a Junction Product Type-III Quad Exhaust.

Inside, ShowOpt’s Infiniti M is pure luxury, with special upholstery with diamond stitching, an Alcantara-wrapped headliner, even customer retractable VIP side and rear curtains by Beleza. Auto Fashion completes the look with aluminum throttle and brake pedals.

The M’s AV system is something to behold, starting with a SoundStream DVD player, 7-inch monitors on the visors and headrests, two 11.2-inch seat monitors, a Picasso amplifier and mid- and-high speaker set. AutoFashion provided the rear audio enclosure.

2009 Infiniti QX by RCH Designs
In creating the QX full-size luxury SUV, Infiniti engineers and designers ensured that all seven passengers would feel they were traveling first class. Taking that theme to the next level, RCH Designs created a QX that’s like flying by executive jet.

To the Infiniti QX’s already refined interior, the seats and headliner are now trimmed in suede, and its genuine figured anigre wood interior trim is painted a custom deep black from House of Kolor, matching the new exterior paint.

Sony’s new OLED (for Organic Light Emitting Diode) television monitors are custom mounted to the back for the front row headrests, delivering high contrast, wide color range and rapid response time all packed into a ultra-thin, 13-inch display. There’s also a Sony Playstation 3 with Blue Ray playback technology, making the QX’s second row the best place to be this side of a Vegas hotel suite.

Sound is provided from Sony’s Xplod division, with tweeters, mid range speakers and subwoofers all custom-mounted around the QX’s interior, all is powered by a 6000 watt Sony Amplifier and backed by an upgraded AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) Odyssey Battery.

In addition to the new deep black paint, the QX’s exterior is further enhanced by chrome accessories from Strut, including a custom grille (available to QX owners in early 2009), side vents, exhaust tips and newly-released 26-inch wheels mounted to Toyo Proxes 2 tires.

A set of Rancho XL shocks, with 9-way adjustable valves controlled by the new MyRide Wireless system, smoothes out the ride, and a set of custom, Arret brake rotors – each laser etched with the Infiniti logo – makes the QX stop as good as it looks. A K&N Performance Intake System improves the air intake of QX’s 5.6-liter V8, while a Dynomax MagnaFlow cat-back system gives an approximate 16-horsepower gain, with a claimed one mile per gallon increase in fuel efficiency.

2008 Infiniti EX by The Westside Group
The newest member of the Infiniti family – the EX personal luxury crossover – arrives in Vegas as one of the most luxurious and technologically advanced tuner machines to be found at SEMA this year.

Starting with custom, three-stage exterior paint, the Infiniti and EX35 logos are now subtly air-brushed on, the original exterior trim is finished in “ghost chrome” and the taillight covers are smoked. For a smoother look, the EX’s exterior door handles have been removed and are now operated by remote, and a custom moonroof has been installed. The exterior door mirrors also have an illuminated Infiniti logo.

The EX now rides on 19-inch MOMO Strike wheels painted to match the exterior and mounted to Bridgestone Potenza RE-050 tires. The EX has also been lowered with Eibach springs, and Westside installed 14-inch, 4-piston front and 13.8-inch, 2-piston rear brake rotors from the 2009 Infiniti G Sport models.

Inside, the EX’s interior – with its leather and genuine maple wood trim – is enhanced with Pioneer’s in-dash navigation AV receiver with DVD playback, iPod® connectivity and built-in Bluetooth technology. The system plays through a 1,200-watt Pioneer Premier PRS-Series Class FD with ICEpower technology and Class D amplifiers, and component speakers throughout the EX’s cabin.

Rear-Drive Performance
Poore notes that Infiniti’s rear-wheel drive platforms are what makes them so popular with tuners, and that Infiniti retailers are an excellent place to find quality pre-owned vehicles to begin the customization and modification process.

“Infiniti has comprehensive Certified Pre-Owned program that offers previously owned, like-new Infiniti models with the same Total Ownership Experience® you’ve come to expect from our brand,” he added. “Infiniti’s Certified Pre-Owned automobiles provide peace of mind in knowing the vehicles’ history and that they have been thoroughly checked, prepped and approved by authorized Infiniti retailers before being made available for sale.”
