Irmscher achieves the sporting lines of the car through the dynamically-styled bodywork effect and the effective orange special paint with decorative black stripes. All parts are skilfully integrated into the flat, exciting curves of the silhouette. The front spoiler lip and the expressive Irmscher radiator grille insert with stainless steel trim are descriptive of the unmistakable front aspect of the Irmscher GTC. With aerodynamically-designed side sills, Irmscher accentuated the wedge-shaped side view. The boot is spanned by an individual roof spoiler. The Irmscher rear silencer in stainless steel with tailpipes in double ellipse pattern combined with a diffuser lend further tone to the sporty rear aspect. Redesigned white rear lights round off the picture of an individually designed car.
Customers who set great store on individuality in the interior of a car too can have leather fittings made by Irmscher to their own personal taste. In the Irmscher-GTC the Remshaldeners are displaying exclusive craftsman's work. Matching the trendy paintwork, the leather interior is also kept in orange and black. The embossed carbon leather of the seat bolsters and the stepped squabs emphasise the dynamic attractiveness of the interior. Leather-framed velours footmats in Irmscher design also pick up this colour scheme. The central console trim in the Irmscher-GTC is in real aluminium. In addition, the series handbrake lever is replaced by one in aluminium optic effect and the production pedals give way to aluminium sports pedals.
For friends of high-quality acoustics, Irmscher fit the Opel Astra GTC with a unique sound system in a range of steps. Beginning with replacement of the standard loudspeakers with high quality high end loudspeakers with end stage, up to the installation of an additional three-way sound system including quadruple bass door panels and end stages as well as subwoofer in the boot, in highest quality sound reproduction, anything is possible.
Irmscher responds to the wish for more engine power with various stages of tuning. Tuning improves the performance of the 1.7-litre diesel engine by 20 HP, the 1.9-litre diesel by 25 HP and the 2.0-litre petrol engine by 30 HP. Alterations to the 2.0-litre engineering include forged pistons, and other engine modifications to ensure the necessary service life. Irmscher lowers the suspension by 30 mm with a suspension set specially matched to the Opel-IDS chassis (Interactive Dynamic System) thus offering even more in the way of sporty driving pleasure. To ensure optimum grip, 225/35 wide tyres are fitted on 19-inch alloy wheels in GT Star design in titanium finish. Irmscher offers these current wheel designs as an option in silver or as a titanium edition in anthracite. Alternatively, customers can choose the 18-inch alloy wheel in the Evo Star design. A twin-elliptical rear silencer completes the Irmscher engineering package.
