Further enhancements to the exterior of the RX 400h include an upgraded chrome package featuring a revised chrome grille, new door handles, chrome-finish 18-inch alloy wheels, and a color-coded rear spoiler. Throughout the cabin, driver and passengers will notice the new red or black wood panel accents on the doors, instrument panel, steering wheel and armrests. On the safety front, RX 400h vehicles will also receive automatically locking doors, while the security systems have been upgraded to include an anti-theft intrusion detector. Lexus Australia chief executive John Roca said that the RX 400h had firmly established itself as Australia's most popular luxury hybrid vehicle. "Earlier this year Lexus Australia sold its 1000th hybrid vehicle and the stellar performer was the RX 400h, accounting for two-thirds of these sales," Mr Roca said. "Hybrids are no longer subject to the misconception that they are underpowered and unreliable. "Lexus hybrid owners are proud to drive their vehicles, and the new blue badging ensures that Lexus hybrid vehicles are instantly recognisable on the road. "Lexus is firmly behind hybrid technology - and we are very excited about the recent launch of our flagship vehicle, the LS 600hL luxury saloon," Mr Roca said. |
