The new Maserati Coupé takes the 3200 GT's concept of a high-performance grand tourer a step further, offering a truly unique combination of performance with on-board comfort for four people in a package that is ideally suited to day-to-day use. The result of a radical new power train and running gear, the Maserati Coupé hails a whole new standard in performance. The design of the new Maserati Coupé incorporates the most challenging requisites for a thoroughbred grand tourer. In addition to its impressive performance figures (top speed of 285 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.9 seconds), the Coupé also offers unusually high levels of ride refinement. It is docile and easy to drive even in traffic, and is just as comfortable for the passengers as the driver. These results are the fruit of Maserati's advanced technologies and the production processes utilised at the marque's famous plant on Viale Ciro Menotti, Modena. The factory premises have recently been transformed into the world's most advanced production site for the kind of exclusive and highly coveted small series output that Maserati has always prided itself in. Similarly, the tail section has a more striking design with the adoption of new, bigger clear lens light clusters, harmoniously incorporated in the wings, giving the rear view of the car greater impact. The harmony of the Giugiaro-designed volumes is also obvious inside the car, |
