DETROIT – Pontiac will announce a music giveaway during the MTV Movie Awards airing tonight. Pontiac has sponsored the event for the past three years. The first 1,000 viewers to register at www.pontiac.com/mtv will receive the same CD collection given to the celebrity presenters as part of their gift bags. The collection will include the latest music from some of today’s hottest new artists, such as Citizen Cope and Kasabian.
“We are pleased to be a part of the MTV Movie Awards for the fourth year,” said Pontiac advertising manager Dino Bernacchi. “Entertainment is a big part of our marketing plan. MTV Movie Awards presents the best of the coolest movies, the coolest audience and the freshest musical talent. It has just about everything we are looking for.”

Pontiac is committed to fresh, new music. As part of its new “Designed for Action” campaign, Pontiac advertisements have showcased bright, emerging talent in the music industry including recording groups Alias and Vacation. Pontiac will also collaborate with the Virgin Megastore in New York City for an in-store concert later in June.
