CHERRY HILL, N.J., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Subaru of America, Inc. today announced its support of Fall Car Care Month, a nationwide effort spearheaded by the Car Care Council to focus motorists' attention on the need to maintain and repair their vehicles. October is Fall Car Care Month and is part of a consumer education campaign about the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance and repair. Many Subaru dealerships across the country are hosting free car care clinics for owners of Subaru vehicles.
"Subaru proudly supports the Car Care Council's efforts to educate consumers on the benefits of taking care of their vehicles," said Jim Sinclair, Vice President, Service, Subaru of America, Inc. "Particularly when fuel prices are high, vehicle maintenance that enhances fuel efficiency becomes more top of mind. The Subaru car care clinics are also a great opportunity for owners to prepare their cars for winter and help preserve the life of their vehicles."

Subaru owners are encouraged to bring their vehicles into participating local dealerships for a free professional diagnostic inspection with no obligation. The inspection includes a checkup of all major operating systems with a written report of the vehicle's condition.

In addition, Subaru has just launched the Subaru MPG Inspection as an added bonus. The MPG - Maintenance Preserves Gas - Inspection focuses on those maintenance areas that will help owners maximize fuel efficiency, thus reducing gasoline consumption.

The Car Care Council, a non-profit organization created over 25 years ago, promotes National Car Care Month in April and Fall Car Care Month in October. The goal of the organization is to educate motorists about the benefits of proper vehicle maintenance.

October is a perfect time for motorists to get their cars properly serviced before the winter months. Through this nationwide event, the Car Care Council aims to improve highway safety, air quality and fuel conservation.

Subaru owners should contact their local Subaru dealers for available clinic dates and times. Owners can contact 1-800-SUBARU-3 or visit http://www.subaru.com/ to locate their nearest Subaru dealer.
