- Regional sales outpace national increase with a jump of more than 8% in August -ATLANTA, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Subaru of America, Inc. national sales in August were up two percent from the same period last year with total sales of 17,809 units. The Subaru South Central Region, geographically the largest sales region for Subaru, recorded their six consecutive monthly sales increase this year with August sales totaling 1,948 vehicles, up more than eight percent over the previous August."Subaru dealers in the region should be commended for another outstanding month," said Rick Blanken, regional vice president, Subaru South Central Region, Subaru of America, Inc. Regional Sales Highlights Prestige Subaru of Asheville, N.C. led the region in August sales volume with sales up 25.5 percent from the same period last year. Subaru Forester sales were up and Legacy and Impreza models posted double digit gains in the region in August. Total US Subaru Sales by Model Line Subaru sold 1,377 units of the Tribeca mid-size SUV during the month of August. The company also posted 7,444 units of Legacy vehicles for the month, driven by strong Subaru Outback sales totaling 5,434 units in August. Subaru Forester recorded 4,002 units, while Baja posted 482 units for the month. Subaru Impreza sales jumped up 47 percent over the previous August, totaling 4,504 units.
