Subaru of America Announces Executive Appointments

-- Company appoints new sales and marketing leadership --

CHERRY HILL, N.J., May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Subaru of America, Inc. today announced executive leadership appointments for its sales and marketing departments. As the new 2007 products hit Subaru dealer showrooms this summer, a new executive management team will be in place to drive sales to another all-time record this year.
Tim Colbeck has been appointed to Vice President of Sales, from Regional Vice President of the Subaru Mid-Atlantic Region. Additionally, Tim Mahoney has accepted the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer position, effective June 26. Both executive positions will report to Tom Doll, Executive Vice President and CFO.

Tim Colbeck, Vice President, Sales

As Vice President of Sales for Subaru of America, Inc., Tim Colbeck is responsible for the company's regional sales offices, field operations, and sales operations. Prior to this position, Tim Colbeck served as the Regional Vice President of the Subaru Mid-Atlantic Region, where he was responsible for vehicle and parts sales, fixed operations, market development and administrative activities of the region.

Mr. Colbeck was the Director of e-business from 1999 though 2002, prior to his promotion to Regional Vice President. He also served as National Sales Operations Manager from 1997, and prior to that held a variety of management roles at the Mid-Atlantic regional office. From 1987 through 1994, he held several positions at Subaru corporate headquarters in accounting, parts and business planning. Mr. Colbeck began his career at Subaru in 1986 as a financial analyst. Prior to joining Subaru, Mr. Colbeck worked as an internal auditor for Philadelphia Life Insurance Co.

Mr. Colbeck holds a bachelor of science degree from St. Joseph's University and a master's in business administration from Drexel University.

Tim Mahoney, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Tim Mahoney will be leaving his post as Vice President of Marketing for Porsche Cars North America, Inc. where he has served since May of 1999. But Mr. Mahoney is no stranger to Subaru. In fact, prior to joining Porsche, Mr. Mahoney was the Director of Marketing for Subaru of America, Inc.

Mr. Mahoney joined Subaru as a marketing research analyst in 1984 and was promoted through the organization holding a variety of management roles in areas including marketing, advertising, merchandising, market research and strategy, as well as product planning. Prior to Subaru, Mr. Mahoney worked for Sara Lee as a sales and marketing representative.

Mr. Mahoney received a bachelor's degree in international studies and foreign languages from Newberry College and University of Vienna in Austria. He also went on to earn a master's of business administration in marketing management from Drexel University.
