BREA, Calif. (June 1, 2005) - American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) posted a 1 percent increase in May 2005 sales compared to the same month last year and a 9 percent increase in sales this calendar year, to date. ASMC sold 7,457 units for the month; while the top-selling Forenza models achieved a noteworthy 74 percent increase, selling 4,390 units in May 2005.
"We are encouraged by the strong sales growth of the Forenza vehicles and continue to set high sales goals," said Koichi Suzuki, president of American Suzuki's Automotive Operations. "As we head into the summer months, we will continue to build awareness for the capable toughness, leading-edge styling and high-end features each vehicle in our line offers - all at prices well below the competition."

Boosting Suzuki's sales is a rapidly expanding product line featuring the addition of two new vehicles to the 2005 family: the five-door compact Suzuki Reno and versatile Forenza Wagon. These products, combined with the growing network of more than 540 U.S. dealers and America's #1 Warranty, Suzuki's industry-leading, 100,000-mile, fully transferable, zero-deductible powertrain limited warranty, continue to strengthen the Suzuki brand.
