Grand Vitara Sales Continue to GrowBREA, Calif. (December 1, 2005) - American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) today announced sales of 5,707 vehicles in November, representing a 14 percent increase over November 2004 and making it the best November sales month in company history. Currently, Suzuki is maintaining a 10 percent increase in total sales over last year. In fact, with total year-to-date sales of 75,439 Suzuki already has exceeded last year’s total in just 11 months and is headed for a record sales year. Suzuki’s sales total in 2004 was 73,946. ASMC’s impressive sales growth is led by the top-selling Forenza family of vehicles with 2,658 units sold in November – a 36 percent increase over November 2004. Forenza year-to-date sales in 2005 lead last year’s numbers by 69 percent.
In addition, sales of the all-new Grand Vitara jumped up an impressive 241 percent over last November’s numbers.
“We are pleased that the increasing sales of the all-new 2006 Grand Vitara and the continuing sales growth of the Forenza models have put American Suzuki on pace to set an all-time sales record in the United States.” said Koichi Suzuki, president of American Suzuki’s Automotive Operations.
Suzuki’s expanding product line in the United States includes the media-acclaimed 2006 Grand Vitara, which started arriving in dealerships in early September, the popular Forenza sedan and Forenza wagon, the five-door Reno, the Aerio and Aerio SX, the Verona and the Suzuki XL-7, the most fuel-efficient seven passenger SUV sold in the United States.
In addition to the strong vehicle lineup, Suzuki vehicles feature America’s #1 Warranty with its industry-leading 100,000-mile/7-year, zero deductible, fully-transferable limited powertrain warranty.
