Acura Announces March 2007 US Sales

TORRANCE, Calif., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Boosted by a March record for light truck sales, Acura sold 16,986 vehicles for the month, less than 500 units behind March 2006. Sales of the popular Acura MDX and Acura RDX crossover SUVs combined for a new Acura March light-truck record of 7,209 units, the luxury division announced today.
The redesigned 2007 Acura MDX luxury SUV was the top-selling Acura light truck in March with 4,785 units sold, surpassing the 4,682 tally of a year ago. Meanwhile, the turbocharged Acura RDX entry-premium SUV posted total sales of 2,424 units, making March its second-best month since it was introduced in June, 2006.

The Acura TL performance luxury sedan led all Acura vehicles with 5,769 units sold in March, while the Acura TSX sports sedan posted near-record sales of 3,232 units.
