GM's Highest Volume Vehicle Tops its Segment in Leading Quality Studies as Chevrolet Prepares to Launch All New Silverado Later This Year

2006-06-20 -- Detroit -- Yesterday, Chevrolet’s Silverado 2500 and 3500 won the heavy-duty pickup segment in Strategic Visions’ 2006 Total Quality Awards™. Earlier this month, Chevrolet’s Silverado 1500 light-duty earned the “ Highest Ranked Large Pickup in Initial Quality” of J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study.
Chevrolet sold nearly 706,000 Silverados in 2005, and is launching a new generation of GM’s highest volume vehicle later this year. “Chevy Silverado is the Most Dependable Longest Lasting pickup truck on the road. We are proud of our team for delivering these quality awards to maintain our full-size truck leadership. These awards give us great momentum to build on as we launch our all-new Silverado this fall.” said Chevrolet General Manager, Ed Peper.
