Fischer will be responsible for Hella's electronics business in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) region, headquartered in Plymouth Township, Mich. Fischer began his career at Hella as the executive vice president of Quality Management at Hella's Electronics business unit in Lippstadt, Germany. Prior to joining Hella, Fischer worked in the body and chassis electronics division at Siemens VDO, in Regensburg, Germany. Fischer studied at Darmstadt University of Technology in Darmstadt, Germany and the University of California in Berkley. He also holds a Dr.-Ing degree in Electrical Engineering from Darmstadt University. Hella's Electronics Corporation has 545 employees in Plymouth Township, Mich. and Flora, Ill. and Hella's North American Lighting Group has nearly 2,500 employees at facilities in York, S.C.; Plymouth, Mich.; Mexico City, and Guadalajara, Mexico.
