Mazda is adding two ‘affordable, sporty and stylish’ Special models to its established Zoom-Zoom product line-up . Based on popular versions of five-door hatchback TS models, the Mazda3 Tamura and Mazda6 Tamura limited edition Specials are extremely price competitive. Both gain stylish exterior enhancements, with a selection of special equipment and handsome alloy wheels.

The Mazda3 1.6 Tamura has additional features which include a body-coloured sports styling kit (new front and rear aero bumpers, side skirts and rear spoiler), front fog lamps, larger diameter 16-inch alloy wheels, a chrome exhaust trim, unique Tamura exterior badging and a choice of two colours – Aurora Blue Mica or Galaxy Grey Mica exterior paint finish – free of charge.

On this model, the additional equipment of the Tamura package is worth £2,835. Powered by a 105ps, 1.6-litre petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission, this Summer Special model costs £13,795 – only £455 more than the donor car, representing a saving of more than £2,380.

Only 700 Mazda3 Tamura cars will be manufactured, so buyers are also offered a significant degree of exclusivity.

Mazda3 Tamura owners will also benefit from the original car’s generous specification which features: black/red interior trim, climate control air conditioning, radio/CD with steering wheel controls, electric front windows, remote central locking with a Thatcham Category 1 alarm and immobiliser, plus electric and heated door mirrors.

With a 2.0-litre, 147ps engine and six-speed manual transmission, the 130mph Mazda6 Tamura offers an incredible performance-per-£ ratio. It is priced at £15,995 – just £315 more than the TS model, while offering customers £3,441 worth of additional equipment – an incredible saving of £3,126.

Like the Mazda3 Tamura, the Mazda6 Tamura features a body-coloured sports styling kit, front fog lamps integrated into the headlights and unique Tamura exterior badging. This model comes with twin chrome exhausts, 17-inch alloy wheels and a choice of three colours – Stormy Blue Mica, Tungsten Grey Mica or Silver Contrail Metallic exterior paint finish – at no extra charge. Only 1,200 examples of the Mazda6 Tamura will be made. In addition to the Tamura special features, this model enjoys the high standard equipment level of the donor TS vehicle.

This equipment includes electric heated door mirrors, radio/CD with steering wheel controls, black/blue interior trim, piano black centre console, climate control air conditioning, electric windows front and rear, leather wrapped steering wheel, geaknob and handbrake lever, remote central locking and Thatcham Category 1 alarm and immobiliser.
