The advanced Lane Departure Warning (LDW) System debuted on the 2005 Infiniti FX crossover sport utility vehicle and on the 2006 Infiniti M premium luxury sedan. Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, was the first manufacturer to offer an advanced Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system in a production passenger vehicle in North America. The LDW system, alerts the driver of an unintended movement of the vehicle out of a designated traffic lane. Infiniti’s LDW system was developed in conjunction with Valeo SA and Iteris, Inc.
