Nissan (China) Investment Co. is actively seeking dealer candidates, with the objective of establishing Infiniti dealerships in major metropolitan areas including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Potential dealer candidates should be engaged in retailing new luxury vehicles and have a record of providing the highest standards of customer service in the luxury market. Infiniti today also launched its China Web site www.infiniti.com.cn. The new site is designed to provide the latest information regarding the Infiniti brand in China, as well as stimulating interest among dealer candidates. As originally revealed last April by Carlos Ghosn, president and CEO of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (NML), the Infiniti brand is undergoing a major global expansion. This expansion is a key part of the NISSAN Value-Up business plan during the period of FY05 - FY07. Infiniti will be launched in South Korea, Russia and China during this time period. These new markets are in addition to the United States, Canada and the Middle East, where Infiniti luxury vehicles are currently being sold. “Today’s announcement by Nissan further confirms Infiniti intention of becoming a globally recognized luxury brand, as well as clearly demonstrating Nissan’s long-term commitment to the Chinese market,” said Mr. Yukihisa Kayashima, President of Import Car Business, Nissan (China) Investment Co. “The growth of China’s luxury car market is expected to continue at stable rate. We are confident that Infiniti will become one of the top-selling luxury brands in China. We look forward to providing the same innovative Infiniti vehicles and high levels of customer care that Infiniti owners worldwide now experience.” The Infiniti brand was first introduced in the United States in 1989 as Nissan’s luxury vehicle division. Infiniti enjoys an excellent reputation for unique contemporary design, athletic performance and top-ranking customer service. Equipped with the finest luxury features and most advanced technology, Infiniti models have won numerous awards in the U.S. market. “At Infiniti, we continue to take steps forward in the luxury automobile segment with our vehicles and dealership services,” said Mark Igo, vice president and general manager, Infiniti Division, Nissan North America, Inc. “These efforts have been recognized over the past 16 years by respected automotive publications and our consumers, providing a solid blueprint as Infiniti expands into dynamic new markets such as China.” Source: Nissan |
