TOKYO (April, 27, 2006)—As part of its ongoing commitment to customer service, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced it would construct a 40,000-square-meter superstore for both new and used cars in Musashi Murayama City. The complex, which is located on the site of Nissan's old Murayama plant, will open to the public by the end of fiscal year 2006, which ends March 31, 2007, starting with the used-car section.

1. "Carminal Tokyo"
This 33,500-square meter site will have a comprehensive service facility, as well as a test-driving course. Specialists will be on hand to help customers choose from about 800 used car models from all Japanese automakers.

Customers will also be able to use computers to search the facility's inventory. Navigation and audio systems, as well as other popular options, will be available for purchase and installation on-site. The facility's broad menu of services will also include government-mandated inspections.

Note: 'Carminal' combines the word "car" with "terminal" to express Nissan's desire to create a gathering place for people and cars and a starting point for customer mobility.

2. New-car showplace
This 6,500-square meter facility, which is twice as large as the average Nissan dealership, will display all Nissan models available in Japan.

Carminal Tokyo will be operated by Nissan Used Car Center Co., Ltd., Nissan's wholly-owned company. The new-car section will be operated by Tokyo Nissan Auto Sales Co., Ltd., a major independent dealer in Tokyo.
