Rüsselsheim, Germany. “Pure Passion” is the message behind the Opel models with the OPC logo, both in their design and driving dynamics. Five of these high-performance variants are currently available, with more to follow.

Taken from current models, the OPC vehicles are visually enhanced through an accented design language with typical layout and equipment elements. Other distinctive features include front spoilers with prominent air inlets and fog lamps, large alloy wheels in exclusive design, bold molded side sills, blue brake calipers, and – depending on the model – rear bumper aprons and spoiler. The interiors boast high-quality details such as Recaro sports seats with fabric/leather upholstery, leather steering wheel, leather gearshift knob, and instruments in the unique OPC design.

The youngest member of the OPC family, and the first sporty model in the minivan segment, is the Meriva OPC. The car’s extraordinary spirit is clearly expressed by its 132 kW/180 hp, 1.6-liter engine, the most powerful turbocharged engine in its displacement class, which accelerates the Meriva from zero to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, and delivers a top speed of 222 km/h. To ensure optimum control of this considerable power, the Meriva and all other OPC models come with a six-speed manual transmission as standard.

With the Astra OPC, Opel advances far into the territory of established sports cars. The coupé-like three-door model is powered by a 177 kW/240 hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that accelerates it from zero to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, and produces a top speed of 244 km/h.

The compact sports car is not only a purebred, it is also furnished with high-tech equipment: thanks to electronic control, its suspension automatically adapts to the prevailing road conditions and individual driving style. And it features a sports mode, which the driver can activate at the touch of a button for considerably more responsive handling.

The Zafira OPC is not just the fastest production minivan in the world, it also represents an unrivalled blend of driving dynamics and versatility. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with maximum output of 177 kW/240 hp, the same as in the Astra OPC, which accelerates the sports van from zero to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, and to a top speed of 231 km/h. The chassis engineering in the Zafira OPC is principally the same as that in the Astra OPC.

With the Vectra OPC in the five-door hatchback version and the Vectra station wagon OPC, Opel offers two cars in the sporty segment of the mid-size class. Not only are they the top of the line models in the Opel program, they also rank among the most powerful front-wheel drive cars available. High-tech features in the 2.8-liter, 188 kW/255 hp,
V6 turbo engine such as variable valve timing, twin-scroll turbocharger, and piston head oil-spray cooling ensure driving performance on the highest level. The hatchback and station wagon require 6.7 and 6.9 seconds respectively to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h, while their top speeds are 260 km/h (hatchback) and 254 km/h (station wagon).
