New 2.0 dCi 175 engine for New Laguna Hatch and Sport Tourer opens for ordering today, 4th December 2007
New flagship engine available on three trim levels: Dynamique, Dynamique S and Initiale. On-the-road prices from £19,150 to £23,900 Powerful, refined and frugal powerplant with effortless mid-range pull. Peak torque of 380Nm at 2,000 rpm and maximum 175hp power at 3,750 rpm. 0 to 62 mph in 8.7 seconds (Hatch). Combined fuel economy of 43.4 mpg (Hatch) Insurance group rating 12E. Benefit-in-Kind of 24% for all six versions In UK showrooms from March 2008 Renault already offers one of the most comprehensive ranges in the upper-medium class with its New Laguna, but now it’s broadening it even further with the addition of the flagship 2.0 dCi 175, the first of several new engine variants to appear during 2008.
The new engine is available on both Hatch and Sport Tourer variants of New Laguna, from Dynamique trim level upwards. Prices for the six versions range from £19,150 to £23,900, a £750 price difference from the equivalent 2.0 dCi 150 versions.
Initially available in the GT version of the former Laguna, Renault’s impressive 175hp common-rail engine continues to be one of the most powerful two-litre diesels in its class.
Combining effortless mid-range performance and refinement with low emissions and impressive fuel consumption, acceleration figures underline its potency. The Hatch dispatches 0 to 62 mph in 8.7 seconds (8.9 seconds for Sport Tourer), before going onto a top speed of 137 mph (134 mph for Sport Tourer). Peak torque of 380Nm is available at 2,000 rpm and maximum 175hp power at 3,750 rpm. In spite of the power on offer, it emits a modest 172 grams CO2 per kilometre (174 grams for Sport Tourer) due to its standard particulate filter (FAP). Combined fuel economy is 43.4 mpg (42.8 for Sport Tourer).
