To mark the renewal of the Clio Campus range, Renault has introduced Clio Campus.com, an extensively-equipped exclusive series with a price tag starting from 'š¬9,999.

In addition to providing an insight into the Clio world, this website gives privileged access to Clio Campus.com at the exceptional price of 'š¬9,999, a saving to the customer of 24 per cent compared with the Dynamique equipment level version on which it is based.

Web users will have the opportunity to specify the configuration of their Renault Clio Campus.com before forwarding their chosen specification to the Renault dealership of their choice. They will then be contacted by sales staff with a view to finalizing the transaction.

Renault Clio Campus.com particularly targets young drivers buying their first new car who tend to big users of the internet. Its compact dimensions will also interest city-dwelling lady drivers looking for a wellequipped car which is inexpensive to run thanks to a range of punchy, responsive engines and low fuel consumption. Finally, its affordable pricing and five-door architecture promise to be of interest to families looking for a versatile vehicle as the household's second car.

Readily recognizable thanks to specific Campus.com badging on its tailgate, Renault Clio Campus.com is based on the Dynamique version.

The equipment list features body colour front and rear bumpers (including foglamps incorporated in the front bumper), side protective mouldings, door handles and tailgate trim. The dynamic, sporty interior includes bucket seats, black-and-silver interwoven-pattern cloth upholstery, leather-trimming for the steeringwheel and gearlever knob, red instrument needles and satin-finish chrome details.

Clio Campus.com boasts a long list of comfort-related equipment, including manual climate control, electric front windows and exterior mirrors, a trip computer and a height-adjustable driver's seat. The 2x20W radio-CD with remote display comes with two RCA sockets in the glovebox for connecting an iPod® or other type of portable MP3 player.

Standing at a length of 3.81 metres, Renault Clio Campus.com's five-door architecture is particularly versatile. In addition to being perfectly at home in built-up areas, it delivers a reassuring ride out of town, too, thanks to its range of responsive, thrifty engines.

When fully folded, the 60/40-split rear benchseat " which is equipped with three height-adjustable headrests " frees up to more than 1m3 VDA of additional carrying space.

Options include lateral airbags, automatic climate control and cruise control with speed limiter.

Clio Campus.com is built on the same platform as Renault Clio II and benefits from proven reliability, making it a benchmark for any motorist looking for a vehicle which is affordable both to buy and to run.

Affordable to buy: Prices range from 'š¬9,999 to 'š¬12,899. All versions of Clio Campus.com comply with the three criteria required to qualify for the Renault eco² signature. The dCi 65 and dCi 85 versions are eligible for the 'š¬700 eco-bonus scheme (in France).

Affordable to run: Low insurance premiums (French fiscal rating of 4 or 5CV). Low servicing costs (every two years or 30,000km in the case of petrol versions; yearly or every 30,000km for diesel versions). Its fuel-efficient engines (the dCi 65 version returns extra-urban cycle fuel consumption of 3.8 litres/100km) put Clio Campus.com's running costs amongst the most competitive of the market. The price of Renault servicing plans was reduced in April 2009. Accordingly, the price of a 36-month 60,000km servicing plan for Renault Clio Campus dCi 65 has come down by almost 30 per cent.
