The new SM5, manufactured and sold in South Korea, is a family sedan developed on the same platform as the Nissan Teana and the SM7. Featuring best-in-class comfort and safety equipment, the SM5 also boasts elegant, refined styling.

Engine


136 hp 4-cylinder 2.0 L.

Transmission


new "Step Gate" 4-speed automatic transmission pour faster response.

Suspension


McPherson-type front suspension and multi-link independent rear suspension.

Safety equipement


ABS with electronic brake distribution (EBD), emergency brake assist system, adaptive front airbags, side airbags and curtain airbags, safety belt pretensioners with load limiters and active protection headrests.

Comfort features


automatic climate control with independent settings for the driver and passenger sides, radio/CD system with fingertip controls on the steering wheel, a satellite navigation system, Driver Memory Seat which automatically adjusts the driver's seating position, and automatic front windshield wiper with rain sensor.

The new SM5 is available in four equipment levels, including a "sport" version.
Over 380,000 units of the former generation of the SM5 have been sold since 1998.
