The Saab BioPower Hybrid Concept brings together the performance advantages of bioethanol fuel and electric power to create the world's first fossil-free hybrid vehicle. Packing formidable pulling power from its 260 bhp (191 kW) 2.0-liter turbo BioPower engine and 53kW electric motors, the Saab BioPower Hybrid Concept can briefly generate torque values three times greater than its gasoline-only equivalent. It is a sporty combination that makes for enhanced performance as well as greater fuel economy. Main features include:

- Innovative hybrid system based on pure bioethanol
- Zero fossil CO2 emissions in all modes
- 260 bhp Saab BioPower engine running on E100 fuel
- Fuel saving 'Zero Mode' for city driving on electric power only
- Energy saving features including regenerative braking
- Space efficient modular design uses existing vehicle architecture
- All-wheel-drive for improved traction

· Saab 9-3 Convertible 20 Years Edition

A celebration of two decades of success with more than 240,000 cars sold since the first Convertible was launched in 1986. The 20 Years Edition features a unique electric blue metallic paint finish, including color-keyed tonneau cover, door trims and handles, and leather seating also trimmed in electric blue. On sale now, it is available in Vector and Aero specifications.


· Introduction of 1.9TiD engine for Saab 9-3 Convertible range

This powerful yet frugal 150bhp turbo diesel broadens the appeal of the Saab 9-3 Convertible range still further. Available in Linear or Vector specifications, with six-speed manual or automatic transmissions and an advanced maintenance-free particulate filter, the 1.9TiD delivers sporty performance with fuel economy of 6.3 l/100km over the combined cycle.
