Volvo Cars of North America Reports Sales for June 2007

IRVINE, Calif., July 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Volvo Cars of North America, LLC reports June sales of 9,586 units in the United States,* down 12 percent compared to the same period last year.

Overall in North America (United States including Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico), 10,802 unit were sold. For the month, sales were down 10.6 percent year-over-year. Sales for Volvo in Canada and in Mexico were 1,008 and 208 units, respectively.
Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (VCNA), based in Irvine, Calif., is a subsidiary of Volvo Car Corporation of Goteborg, Sweden. VCNA provides marketing, sales, parts, service, technology and training support to Volvo automobile retailers in the United States, and oversees Volvo operations in Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Volvo has been building cars with safety in mind for 80 years. The current model lineup of Volvo cars includes: the award-winning new Volvo S40 and its wagon counterpart the Volvo V50; the award-winning Volvo XC90; the sporty Volvo S60 sedan; the versatile Volvo V70 wagon and rugged Volvo XC70 (Cross Country); the new Volvo C70 -- the convertible with the innovative retractable hardtop, and the all-new Volvo S80.
