One Super Bowl ad showcases the all-new 6.4-liter Power Stroke diesel featuring dual turbochargers and Ford Clean Diesel Technology.

HOUSTON, Jan. 26, 2007 – The new 2008 F-Series Super Duty gets built before your eyes in an innovative advertisement that will launch during the Super Bowl “Built Ford Tough Pre Kick” show February 4 on CBS. The new Super Duty features an available all-new, more powerful 6.4L Power Stroke dual-turbo diesel engine; an industry first F-450 pickup with unmatched capability; and numerous class exclusive innovative features like the Tailgate Step and PowerScope Mirrors.

“We are launching the most capable Ford F-Series Super Duty ever,” said Cisco Codina, Ford group vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service. “While the outcome of the big game is in doubt – we will leave no doubts about who is America’s Truck leader and why.”
The new ads showcase the Ford Super Duty’s capability and features. All three ads were developed using CAD-based engineering data that when brought to life show what it takes to build the new F-Series Super Duty.

The 15-second teaser spots highlight two of the innovative new features available on Super Duty: the class-exclusive integrated TailGate Step and the all-new 6.4-liter Power Stroke diesel featuring dual turbochargers and Ford Clean Diesel Technology.

The 60-second spot literally brings together all of the new Super Duty's parts and sub-systems. It provides a visual tour of the design and engineering prowess built into every Super Duty through the features and benefits that matter most to truck consumers. The viewer is guided on the tour by a Super Duty “owner” who, in the closing scene, puts on his hard hat and goes to work knowing that the new Super Duty is built to work harder day in and day out.

The ads, developed by Ford’s advertising agency, JWT Detroit, are part of the Bold Moves advertising platform. The 15-second teasers and 60-second ad will run in the Super Bowl pre kick show.

Ford has been associated with NFL Football for over 35 years and has sponsored the kickoff show for three straight years.

2008 Ford Super Duty: Lower Prices for the Most Capable Pickup Truck Ever
The new 2008 Ford F-Series Super Duty has already been named the 2006 “Truck of Texas” by the Texas Auto Writers’ Association (TAWA) and accounts for about 40 percent of F-Series sales. It features bold new exterior styling and a new interior that sets the new standard for comfort, refinement and quality and will redefine the heavy-duty truck market again. Properly equipped, it has the ability to tow up to 24,500 pounds – over 7,000 pounds more than its closest competitor – and haul more than three tons – over 600 pounds more than its closest competitor.

The new truck also offers innovative new features, such as: All-new F-450 pickup: Riding on its own unique chassis, the F-450 pickup combines the right axle, powertrain and suspension to pull the heaviest trailer with confidence and control. Only Ford offers a Class IV pickup.

All-new 6.4-liter Power Stroke™ Diesel Engine: This available engine, powered by dual-sequential turbochargers, produces up to 350 horsepower and 650 foot-pounds of torque while delivering a sharp decrease in particulates and emissions.

TailGate Step: An exclusive feature makes it easy to step up into or down out of the bed to load or unload cargo and is fully integrated into the tailgate and virtually invisible when not in use.

Powerscope Mirrors: The industry’s first power folding and power telescoping trailer tow mirrors, which offer drivers the convenience of adjusting mirrors from the cab.

Even with so many improvements, Ford is lowering Super Duty’s base manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRPs) while adding more standard content to provide more value to truck customers. The base MSRPs (including destination and delivery) for the 2008 Super Duty line-up range from $23,305 for a F-250 Regular Cab XL 4x2 model to $51,280 for a top of the line F-450 Crew Cab Lariat 4x4.

Ford Truck Leadership
Since its debut in 1948, Ford has sold more than 32 million F-Series trucks around the world. Today, there are more F-Series pickups on the road with 250,000 miles than any other brand. It has also been the best-selling truck in America for 30 years running and the best-selling vehicle for 25 years running.

From the ranch to the city, Ford F-Series pickup trucks remain kings of Texas, as the best selling vehicle. This is the fourth consecutive year that TAWA has named F-Series the “Truck of Texas,” a feat unmatched by any other manufacturer.

To celebrate that leadership in the nation and Texas, Ford will again offer a 2007 F-150 Texas Edition with more content for the Lone Star state. Featuring 18-inch chrome aluminum wheels, five-inch running boards, an exhaust tip and “H-bar” grille, as well as color-coordinated leather wrapped steering wheel and unique badging, the Texas Edition is the most popular F-150 model in Texas. Residents of Texas receive a $1,000 discount.
