Ford Promises to "Make Every Day Exciting" Under Its New Brand Campaign Designed to Emotionally Connect with Thai Customers

* Ford introduced the new regional brand campaign, “Make Every Day Exciting”, to establish Ford’s new brand image and personalities promoting the brand as enjoyable, energetic, bold and approachable.

Bangkok , Thailand, February 19, 2007 – Ford Thailand today kicked off its “Make Every Day Exciting” brand campaign to connect customers with the brand through a series of experiential marketing activities that illustrate a new brand image of Ford as an enjoyable, energetic, bold and approachable brand.

Mr. Tom Brewer , Ford Thailand’s President, said, “The new brand campaign, “Make Every Day Exciting”, has been introduced throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including Thailand. It aims to strengthen relationships with Ford’s customers by directly connecting with them by providing memorable experiences with all our products and services.
“Make Every Day Exciting isn’t a new advertising campaign but a new approach to the way we do business. To make it successful, Ford has to connect, communicate and create a stronger emotional bond with our customers in all areas of our business. This begins with an attempt to make the Ford brand more attractive coupled with the right offerings that encourage customers’ decision to buy.”

“We have started the new campaign by creating a positive attitude among all Ford employees and ensure they embrace the commitment to creating memorable experiences for all customers, especially through the offering of quality products and good services that bring maximum customer satisfaction. Also, we will provide a series of experiential marketing activities that will enrich consumers’ experience with Ford’s products and services."

“Ford’s new brand personality is warm, enjoyable, energetic, friendly and approachable. It is a brand that offers a large variety of products that gives customers memorable experiences for their on-the-move lives wherever they go. Our most recent market research showed that Thai people have strong beliefs in Ford’s product quality, value for money and toughness. The research also showed that Thai people love to have fun or “sanook” in their lives, value close relationships, and want to enjoy everyday in their lives. They also have a desire to associate with a brand that reflects their personalities and lifestyles and allows them to enjoy life more.”

“Ford's new image, "Make Every Day Exciting", in essence, is a brand campaign that help Thai people better associate with Ford brand, in which they already see many of the same characteristics that help define the Thai way of enjoy life. Ford is more than a transport tool but a brand that offers a strong emotional bond and good on-the-go experiences to customers through our experiential activities with our products and services.”

“We believe that the new Ford’s brand image, coupled with our quality products, will effectively strengthen brand loyalty among Ford’s current customers and attract new customers to buy a Ford vehicle which matches their lifestyle and needs,” said Mr. Brewer.

“Make Every Day Exciting” will communicate through various above-the-line and below-the-line activities. This begins with a new one-minute TV commercial, which will be aired from February 19. This is the first time that Ford has introduced a TV commercial to illustrate the new brand image. The TVC entitled “Make Every Day Exciting" features memorable experiences of customers various lifestyles with all Ford nameplates.

The TV commercial message for the Ford Escape shows the SUV providing an opportunity to experience real life and enjoy exciting outdoor activities or have precious moments with their loved ones; for Ford Focus increases the sense of confidence for urban people; the message for Ford Ranger enables people to do anything and go anywhere while saving on fuel costs and finally the Ford Everest shows the new 7-seater family SUV allowing family members enjoying memorable experiences together.

Ford customers will also have more direct experiences and stronger confidence in Ford products and services, especially the new customer service programs that gives customers greater peace of mind in living a worry-free life behind the wheel. At the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show, Ford customers can also experience Make Every Day Exciting with a lot of fun and surprises at Ford’s booth.

“Make Every Day Exciting will help to better communicate and illustrate each of our product’s unique characteristics so customers will better understand the benefits and enjoyment in owning, driving and experiencing our quality vehicles.
