"We are pleased to have Katherine Legge as a Warrior in Pink," said Ford Racing Technology Director Dan Davis. "Ford has been a long-time supporter of the Komen Foundation and with this special race car and awareness campaign at Road America, we contribute to educating our fans about breast cancer." In addition to Legge's race car and gear, a Ford Shelby GT500, specially wrapped in pink, burgundy and white with Warriors in Pink decals, will be the official Road America Grand Prix Pace Car. The Ford Shelby GT500 and a Warriors in Pink Ford Fusion will be displayed alongside other exclusive, high-end production Ford performance cars in the Champ Car Pace Car compound. The fleet features thunderous Ford Mustang GT California Specials, Ford Factory Five kit cars and other bold marquee sports cars carefully modified for aggressive race-track duties. "It is an honor for me to contribute to such a great cause and I am happy to support Ford in any way I can," said Legge. "My team and I feel privileged to do anything we can to raise awareness for breast cancer research and to further the effort of finding a cure. We just hope we can make a difference."
