Surrey-based Lotus dealership, Bell & Colvill, will be displaying a very special, bespoke edition of the awesome Lotus 2-Eleven at this year’s MPH The Prestige & Performance Motor show featuring Top Gear Live starting at Earls Court, London on 30th October.
The light-weight, British-built sports car, which is capable of an aggressive 0-60mph time of just 3.8 seconds, has been decorated in the original Classic Team Lotus green and yellow racing colours - a stylish homage to the iconic livery seen on Jim Clark’s Lotus Type 49 F1 car in the mid 1960s.
In fitting with the car’s historic livery, the 2-Eleven is powered by a mighty 255 PS supercharged engine, which gives the car a power to weight ratio similar to that of a 1960s Formula 1 car.
Lotus is renowned for its flexible and made-to-measure service available on their models. In recent years the marque has completed a number of bespoke customizations for clients, including fitting a 1970s Lotus Esprit S1-style interior to an Exige and Bell & Colvill are currently working on another 2-Eleven finished in the celebrated black and gold livery that featured on the classic Lotus 72 and 77 race cars.
MPH The Prestige and Performance Motor Show featuring Top Gear Live at London’s Earls Court runs from 30 October to 2 November. Tickets are available via mphshow.co.uk/info or by calling the ticket hotline on 0871 230 7150.
