DETROIT, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- With the unveiling of the Lincoln MKR concept vehicle at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Ford Motor Company and supplier partner OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Inc. are providing the public a glimpse at the future of automotive lighting.

The Lincoln MKR is equipped with the latest in Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology, a revolutionary light source renowned for its styling flexibility, energy efficiency, unlimited color options and high reliability. The Lincoln MKR has been outfitted with an amazing 300 LEDs, providing illumination for virtually the entire exterior and interior of the vehicle.
Ford chose the OSRAM Opto Semiconductor Golden DRAGON(R) LED and Power TOPLED(R) to illuminate the headliner, center console, doors and instrument cluster of the MKR. Ford also selected the OSRAM Opto Semiconductor Power TOPLED(R) for the exterior in the front turn accent and rear combination lamps.
