* the feeling of protection and the safety it provides,

These qualities could be termed the DNA building blocks of the 307, which combine with the specific personality of the different silhouettes to create a rich and comprehensive range:

* A 3-door, 5-seater hatchback.

* A 5-door, 5-seater hatchback.

* A CC coupé cabriolet with four adult sized seats.

* A 5-door, 5-seater estate with a longer wheelbase.

Summer 2005 sees the arrival of a New 307… … With a new face and new trims

… With a new specification in terms of comfort and safety

… With new and original versions

All body styles see their personality enhanced, strengthening their

competitive position within the market segment.

A new face and stylish updates The bold design of the front of the New 307 reflects Peugeot’s new styling cues and creates an even more dynamic feel to the vehicle, further promoting greater driving pleasure.

Characterised by a shorter aluminium bonnet, the new face of the 307 draws its feline looks from elliptical or Xenon headlamps, stretched even further across the impressive “ascending” lower front panel which houses the Lion badge in the upper section and a single air intake in the lower section. A black grille with chrome bars forms the signature mark of the high-line versions, with new, chrome-surround fog lights.

At the rear, the New 307 enhances its up-to-the-minute appeal with chrome red lights featuring a brand new technology.

These developments in exterior style portray a more refined visual quality.

Accompanying these stylistic innovations, new wheel trims, new 16” and 17” alloy wheels, and new body colours enhance the dynamic expression of the New 307.

With its new front the New 307 is just as compact as before, with an overall length of 4.21 m.

Inside, the New 307 features a new style instrument panel, new centre console and new propositions in terms of interior ambience.

Combined with updated trims and new Wood or aluminium treatments identifying Comfort and Sport versions, these new features enhance the modern feel and character of the New 307.

Even more refined, the hatchback and the SW are now available with integral leather as on the CC (Coupé Cabriolet).

The 307 FĂ©line hatchback: refined and hi-tech

Resolutely upmarket and emblematic of the strength of the 307, the New 307 Féline hatchback, available with three or five doors, features the 2.0 litre 16V engine developing 130 kW (180 bhp) that powers the Sport version of the Coupé Cabriolet.

It can also be equipped with the Diesel HDi 2.0 litre 16V engine developing 100 kW (136 bhp) with a particle emission filter (PEF), combined with a 6-speed gearbox.

The exterior style of the 307 Féline features a fully body coloured exterior which can include two exclusive colours from the coupé cabriolet range: Babylone Red and Slate.

The new, sporty front aspect with horizontal chrome bars, the rear bumper with its special chrome exhaust pipe, the rear spoiler and original Aidel 17” alloy wheels with 205*50R17W tyres, are all expressive of the revised temperament and exclusivity of this New model.

In keeping with its exterior style, the design of the passenger compartment expresses refinement and dynamism. Its integral leather trim, in Palimbro brown or Cerberus Red, covers the body-hugging seats, the top of the fascia and the door trims, and features equipment derived from the Coupé Cabriolet. For example:

* the sport leather steering wheel with “Grey” trim inserts matching

the interior decorations,

* the aluminium pedals and footrest with non-slip finish,

* the sport instrument panel with chrome surround and dials with a

white background and fan-shaped typography,

* the aluminium gear lever knob.

This FĂ©line version, available with three or five doors, tops the range of the New 307 hatchbacks.

The 3-door range is built on the shared base of the Comfort and Comfort Pack, to which three new “dynamic” versions are added: Sport, Sport Pack and Griffe.

The 5-door range is built on the same shared Comfort and Comfort Pack base, with the addition of two parallel versions (Comfort and Sport), each with three levels of finish.

The Comfort version includes the Executive, Executive Pack and Signature levels, while the Sport version includes the Sport, Sport Pack and Griffe versions.

All New 3 and 5-door 307s are powered by the same range of exclusively multi-valve engines, with four petrol engines and three HDi Diesel engines.

Petrol engines:

1.4 litre 16V 65 kW (90 bhp), 5-speed manual gearbox

1.6 litre 16V 80 kW (110 bhp), 5-speed manual gearbox or automatic

with Porsche Tiptronic System control

2.0 litre 16V 103 kW (140 bhp), 5-speed manual gearbox or automatic

with Porsche Tiptronic System control

2.0 litre 16V 130 kW (180 bhp), 5-speed manual gearbox

HDi Diesel engines:

1.6 litre 16V 66 kW (90 bhp), 5-speed manual gearbox

1.6 litre 16V 80 kW (110 bhp), 5-speed manual gearbox

2.0 litre 16V PEF 100 kW (136 bhp), 6-speed manual gearbox

The 307 Diesel HDi PEF Coupé Cabriolet: perfect harmony

The true embodiment of driving pleasure, the 307 CC invites four people to share the enjoyment of driving in a coupé with a strong, dynamic character, and the chance to transform it into an authentic and elegant cabriolet.

Powered by a choice of three petrol engines, 1.6 litre 16V developing 80 kW (110 bhp), 2.0 litre 16V developing 103 kW (140 bhp) and 2.0 litre 16V developing 130 kW (180 bhp), the 307 CC range now, however, includes an HDi Diesel engine providing added benefits in terms of dynamism, drivability and economy that will appeal to a new customer base.

The engine used (2.0 litre 16V) develops 100 kW (136 bhp) and a torque of 320 Nm at 2000 rpm (340 Nm with over boost activated). It is combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox with gear ratios that favours dynamic performance while at the same time reducing fuel consumption.

This new Coupé Cabriolet is environmentally friendly thanks to its particle emission filter (PEF), which captures and then eliminates soot particles released by the exhaust.

Designed to achieve a high level of acoustic and vibration suppression, the HDi Coupé Cabriolet is particularly discreet… and in terms of appearance differs in no way from petrol engine versions.

The 307 CC… guaranteed appeal

While retaining their spectacular diode rear lights, all versions of the new petrol or HDi Coupé Cabriolet adopt the new sporty look of the 307, with a generous air intake with chrome bars affording new strength and an even more assertive character.

With a length of 4.36 m, the 307 CC offers seating for four adults, a boot volume of 350 dm3 in the coupé and 204 dm3 in the cabriolet, technologically advanced structural features such as its “magic” roof, which retracts electrically and entirely automatically, or its “capacitive” sensors for opening the doors, creating a “short drop” effect to ensure optimal water resistance.

Offering a high level of protection to all occupants - with a rigid structure, appropriate means of restraint, including automatic rear roll over bars - the 307 coupé cabriolet also ensures a high level of comfort that can be supplemented by optional hi-tech equipment: Xenon headlamps, Bluetooth hands-free kit or RT3 telematics system (RDS radio, GSM telephone, GPS) combined with a 7” 16*9 colour screen, or the “custom built” JBL hi-fi system with amplifier and bass cabinet plus MP3 player… to mention just a few examples.

Trimmed in either a dynamic cloth or leather trim, both the Dynamic and Sport levels, with the integral leather option, can also feature leather seats, fascia panel and door sills in Palimbro Brown or Cerberus Red evoking the world of luxury sports cars.

With these new changes, the New 307 CC range now looks as follows: 307 CC Dynamique:

* 1.6 litre 16V engine developing 80 kW (110 bhp), 5-speed manual

gearbox,

* 2.0 litre 16V engine developing 103 kW (140bhp), 5-speed manual

gearbox or automatic with Porsche Tiptronic control,

* 2.0 litre 16V HDi engine developing 100 kW (136 bhp), with

particle emission filter (PEF) and 6-speed manual gearbox.

307 CC Sport:

* 2.0 litre 16V engine developing 130 kW (180 bhp), 5-speed

manual gearbox,

* HDi Diesel 2.0 litre 16V engine developing 100 kW (136 bhp)

with particle emission filter (PEF) and 6-speed manual gearbox.

The new 307 SW: luxury dedicated to relaxation and travel

Elegant and refined to the smallest detail by virtue of its appearance and dynamic style, the New 307 SW lets you savour the intensity of relaxing moments and travel with the family thanks to its highly attractive design.

Its large panoramic glass roof equipped with an electrically controlled blind creates exceptional airiness and visibility.

Benefiting from a longer wheelbase (+10 cm compared to that of the hatchback) and a rear overhang taking the overall length to 4.43 m, the SW offers remarkable modularity and can accommodate up to seven seats.

The rear seats in the second row are individual and can be folded, realigned in the absence of a middle seat, or moved to the third row. One or two additional folding seats (available as accessories) can be installed in the third row.

With the New 307 SW, it is therefore possible to adapt your car to your lifestyle: travel in comfort with up to seven passengers, or practise your favourite sport taking all equipment with you thanks to the ingenious modularity of the seats.

The New 307’s new dynamic look with its large air intake and wide-set headlamps (elliptical or Xenon) lights up the SW body style even more and accentuates its personality, with the large front windscreen extending uninterrupted to the end of the panoramic sunroof.

A characteristic feature of the rear aspect is the new rear lights that have an exclusive style and benefit from the same innovative technology as the hatchback.

Inside, the New 307 SW shares the technical developments of the other body styles in the range and, on some versions, offers new trims with an even more pronounced dynamic styling:

* Agave Diamant semi-velour*semi-cloth seats for the Sport level,

* semi-leather seats with Speed’up mesh on new Sport Pack versions,

* integral Leather trim available as an option with a choice of two

colours (Palimbro brown or Cerbère red) including leather fascia

panel visor, door capping and seats.

The comprehensive New 307 SW range is based on five equipment levels and five multi-valve engines, including two petrol engines and three HDi Diesel engines:

The new 307 estate: practical and elegant

The New 307 Estate is derived from the hatchback but with a longer wheelbase and an extended overhang, taking the overall length to 4.43 m (+ 22 cm).

The 307 Estate closely resembles the hatchback but comes with special features to give it its own personality.

Pragmatic, robust and easy to use, the Estate has a practical and generous load volume of 503 to 1805 dm3 thanks to its 40*60 folding rear seat, low stainless-steel load sill and black roof bars featured on all versions.

The rear luggage cover has multiple rigid panels providing easy access to the boot, while the large load floor incorporates storage compartments with a capacity of 19 litres accessible via two panels and covered by a luggage net.

A net for tall loads is available as an option.

The New 307 Estate naturally adopts the new look of the range as well as its new equipment. Its range is based on that of the hatchback and follows the same principle of Executive and Sport versions, plus the shared Comfort and Comfort Pack models.

The wide choice of engines, all multi-valve, includes:

Three petrol engines:

1.4 litre 16V 65 kW (90 bhp), 5-speed manual gearbox

1.6 litre 16V 80 kW (110 bhp), 5-speed manual gearbox or automatic

with Porsche Tiptronic System control
