This week SEAT returns to Budapest, where the 4th race of the Red Bull Air Race season will be held. Over 600,000 spectators followed the race here in 2008 and no less are expected this year. The race is held on Hungarys national holiday on August 20 with the qualifying session the day before.

The close results of the first three races of the season in Abu Dhabi, San Diego and Windsor provided events with thrilling moments. The overall leader in the championship is last years champion Hannes Arch, Austria, with 33 points, followed by Paul Bonhomme, UK, who trails by a single point.

Budapest is the “home ground for the Red Bull Air Race since it started there with the Hungarian pilot Peter Besenyei as the test pilot. And the race over the Danube has formed part of every season since the first race in 2003.

With more than 1.8 million spectators during the 2008 season, SEAT sponsored races in Rotterdam (Holland), London (United Kingdom), Budapest (Hungary) and Porto (Portugal) with strong visibility on the branded planes, air gates and other elements of the races.

All over the public area you will see several SEAT islands exhibiting its range of cars and numerous promotions being offered by SEAT staff.

In addition to the visual elements that are displayed throughout the race venue, SEAT also provides transportation to the race organization, with 75 vehicles. The brand new SEAT Exeo forms the majority of the car fleet, coinciding with its commercial launch in Hungary. The cars are used by the pilots and the Red Bull Air Race team during the race period, the most prominent of which is the Follow Me car used at the landing strip to lead the planes to their positions in the airfield.
