Martorell, 21-04-2007 -- For the twelfth consecutive year, SEAT is the main sponsor of the “SEAT Open” - Trofeo Conde de Godó, to be held until 29 April at the Barcelona Real Club de Tenis. The tournament is considered one of the most prestigious in Spain. The SEAT stand at the tournament village is the chosen backdrop for the draw to determine players’ slots at this year’s event.

SEAT has also chosen the SEAT Open event to strengthen its commitment to collaborating with Shakira’s “Pies Descalzos” Foundation.
Several celebrities and athletes have been invited to show their solidarity with the cause throughout the tournament by signing one of the Shakira apples, the symbol of the joint collaboration between SEAT and Shakira’s “Pies Descalzos” foundation, whose fundraising efforts go towards helping vulnerable children in Latin America.

SEAT rewards your solidarity

You can easily contribute to the fundraising effort by sending an SMS to a dedicated number in each country and part of the proceeds will go to the “Pies Descalzos” Foundation. Donations can also be made through the www.catch-the-fever.com website. Anyone who sends at least one SMS to the corresponding number until 15 May automatically enters the draw for an exclusive SEAT León Pies Descalzos unit. Personalised by Shakira, this specially designed car in its original version is worth over 27,000 euros. The lucky winner of the draw will be announced at the upcoming Barcelona Motor Show.
