Alongside the electric engine SEAT IBE prototype on center-stage and the new SEAT Alhambra, the Spanish brand is also showcasing the latest developments on the Exeo range at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. The elegantly sporty SEAT Exeo and the dynamic Exeo ST estate are now even roomier, as there is more space available to backseat passengers after redesigning the front seats and rear bench. Further updates to the Exeo range include equipping the 143 hp 2.0 TDI CR Diesel version with the multitronic gearbox, thus bringing together outstanding performance with exceptional efficiency, in addition to new rear lights featuring LED technology in combination with the bi-xenon headlights and a new 230 V socket conveniently located on the central console.

At 4.66 metres long, the Exeo sets the standard for sportiness in the mid-range segment. It offers plenty of room for five passengers and a spacious luggage compartment. Thanks to the redesigned front seats and rear bench on both the Exeo and the Exeo ST, room in the back has now increased by 44 millimetres without any sacrifice in seating comfort or luggage space, offering even more comfort on long journeys.

Multitronic gearbox on the Diesel engine line-up For customers seeking that extra level of refinement in addition to sporting prowess, the continuously variable multitronic presents a compelling alternative to the manual gearbox. This efficient, seven-speed automatic gearbox will also be found in the Exeo Diesel range mated to the 143 hp (105 kW) 2.0 TDI common rail injection engine in early 2011. With an average fuel consumption of only 5.8 litres per 100 kilometres (figure pending approval), this variant combines SEAT's trademark refined dynamics and high efficiency.

The electronically controlled multitronic works with continuously variable ratios, enabling the engine to operate consistently at optimum efficiency. For dynamic drivers, it offers a sport program that delivers gear shifting at higher rev speeds, and a manual mode controlled via steering wheel mounted shift paddles. The mechanical efficiency and broad ratio spread of this hi-tech gearbox ensure low fuel consumption and emissions.

The Exeo combines elegant design and distinctive styling with state-of-the-art technology and an outstanding level of quality. Thanks to its exceptional value for money, it represents an appealing choice for drivers that place just as much importance on driving fun and a premium look-and-feel as they do on efficiency, usability and budget.
