In Spain, 16,562 cars went to customers from January to September 2005, which was 43.3% more than a year before. In Central and Eastern Europe, Å koda Auto delivered 135,834 vehicles to its customers. The manufacturer could record a positive trend in Hungary, Romania, and Ukraine, in particular. And it managed to defend its dominant position in the Czech Republic. In Asia and overseas, Å koda sold a total of 22,520 vehicles (12.3 per cent more than in 2004) between January and September 2005. The largest portion of this amount falls on India (6,597 units), Turkey (4,929 cars), and Israel (2,105 vehicles).
