Given ever-growing demand for Å koda cars, especially the Octavia model family, Å koda Auto will increase its manufacturing programme by 3,000 cars in the fourth quarter. The sports-tuned Octavia RS has been offered since 2000; it was in the summer of 2002 that it was followed by the Estate RS version.

The millionth unit of the Å koda Octavia range was manufactured on 17th February 2004, and 140,686 Tour model cars were produced over the last year while the new-generation Octavia cars were manufactured simultaneously (144,513 units).
